If you live in Sydney, like me 
, you might wanna do a day trip where you can refresh yourself from your daily activities and the city life. Perhaps Newcastle is a worth place to check out. It only takes about 2 and a half hour drive from Sydney CBD by car and if you are not in a hurry, You might want to stop for scenic lookouts on the way to Newcastle and i encourage you to do so.
These photos were taken at one the lookouts in Newcastle (would love to let you know its name, but I don’t remember!) – it was rainy that day but it was absolutely beautiful, rainbows were just everywhere! I have never seen so many rainbows at 1 place! Just gorgeous! So travelers both overseas and locals, 1 day would be enough to do the trip if you are in Sydney and I personally think that 1 day is just enough to do the whole thing.
Tips: perhaps a map and would be handy to have and you might want to rent a car as you would get more freedom.
