Sydney Harbour Bridge

Sydney Harbour Bridge is another reason why you should come and visit Sydney! This bridge was opened on March 19th 1932, by the premier Jack Lang. The bridge took 6 years to build. During new year’s eve, this bridge is packed with fire works and most of you probably have seen it either on television or live on how it looks like! Absolutely amazing I must say :) . You could also climb the bridge during the day and night and just enjoy the moment. Although it is pricey to do it, but hey – it is once in a life time right?

Photographers seem to like to take lots and lots of pictures of this bridge (including myself! :) ). So if you are a traveler, spend some time in cirqular quay where you could find nice restaurants, Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge itself, and lots more! it is easily accessed by either bus or train.

Tips: Again, having your camera handy is very important and take some time there, do not rush yourself, enjoy the moment, sit down, relax, get yourself an ice cream or something :) . Pamper yourself.

Mt. Sinai

Mt. Sinai

A little bit of fact about Mt. Sinai.

Mt. Sinai is approximately 2,285 metres above the sea level and is located in Egypt (Asia part). If you read your Bible, this mountain is where Moses received the 10 Commandments from God. Nothing special with the mountain until you reached the top of the mountain! In fact, the mountain looks very dry and rocky and you see no grass or tress around it. But it is a nice experience nonetheless.

So here is my story – climbing mount Sinai was seriously one of the most awesome and hardest experiences in my travel life!

Why awesome? Experiencing sun rice from the top of Mt Sinai is just priceless! It is so beautiful and there are no words to describe it! It is definitely something that you need to experience when you go to Egypt.

Why hard? Although you can rent a camel to help you climb to the top and if you are lucky enough, you could get one of them! But since I went there during a holiday season, so there were no camels left to rent! sad moment! :) So I was left with one option which was to do it like the locals do… USE YOUR FEET! The first 2 hours were quite okay but then, when cold wind and tiredness hit your body (it was -13C on the top of the mountain and having a pair of converse shoes did not HELP at all! :( ) -Altogether, it took me 6 hours just to get me to the top of the mountain! (but it was all worth it – the view from the top will take your breath away!) Guess what? Once I got to the top of the mountain, my feet literary decided to fall asleep and I could not feel them anymore. It was seriously cold and I wore the wrong shoes! Then my brother and I decided to climb down as the thought of “you might not feel your feet any more” came into me, so we started climbing down the mountain and it only took us 3 hours to climb down!

Tips: Please do not wear CONVERSE Shoes especially when it is during a cold season! :) – Have enough water during your time on the mountain. If you can get an opportunity to rent a camel – get one! seriously… hehehe but doing it like the locals do is also fun! Most importantly, do not go to Mt. Sinai without a camera… make sure you have one handy with you.
